"A"-Drift Travels ✈️🛬🛫🌎

Hey everyone, I’m back with more content and insight on another great place you can visit . Last year for my 34th birthday I was able to travel to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil 🇧🇷 . So I’ll try to give you guys as much information as possible for your trip to Rio .

One of the first things that I was required to do upon arrival to Brazil was securing my visa. I believe that has since changed but makes sure you find out for sure before boarding your flight ✈️. It was a smooth flight from Miami , but also a long 8-hours . Make sure to grab some comfortable headphones and some entertainment if you are like me and watched all on the movies they offer on these planes.

I remember how excited I was when our flight took off from Miami, Florida . I couldn’t wait to walk the beaches of Rio and see the Christ the Redeemer statue. Once we settled in our room at the Orla Copacabana Hotel , the first thing I wanted to do was stroll the beach 🏖. I’m my opinion that was one of the best things about the Orla Hotel , it was conveniently located right on the beach. From the roof of the hotel , you had an amazing view of Copacabana Beach.

Attractions 🗼🗽⛰

If you are into landmarks as much as I am then you know the main attraction in Rio is the Christ the Redeemer statue . However I kind of had a personal tour guide since my girlfriend Tia had visited Rio before . We decided to take a day tour to some of the most popular places . First up on our tour was the Rio de Janeiro Cathedral. The cathedral was designed by Edgar de Oliveira da Fonseca in a modern style based on Mayan architectural style.

Next up were the Selaron Steps. (pictured above) These world famous steps are the work of a Chilean-born artist named Jorge Selarón. If you are a big hip-hope fan then you may realize those steps from a very popular music video. World renown rapper Snoop Dogg and artist Pharrell Williams collaborated for the smash hit “Beautiful”. A significant portion of the video was shot on the steps

Next up was one of the New Seven Wonders of the world , The Christ the Redeemer Statue . This statue of Jesus Christ was built between 1922 -1931, and the statue stands 98 ft. tall. I personally had an awesome time just seeing this extraordinary work of art.

The last stop stop we made was to visit SugarLoaf Mountain ( above ). If you are afraid of heights then you may want to sit this one out . The long cable car 🚠 ride to the top of the mountain is not for the faint of heart. However if you can make it , the views of Rio are amazing from there and you are sure to love !!! Overall Rio was nothing short of amazing and I would recommend all of your to visit soon. Below I’ll leave some more of my favorite photos.

Good morning world 🌎 … I’m so excited about taking a quick trip to Miami beach 🏖 . I’ve been to Miami several times but this is my first trip anywhere since I have started this blog so I will be able to give real time reviews of every place I visit.

So of course after an early morning flight the first thing I wanted was some good food ! My friend suggested we try this restaurant called Puerto Sagua . It offers really good authentic Cuban cuisine at a really good price . I ordered a simple pancake and eggs platter served with ham , it’s kind of hard to mess that up unless you’ve got me cooking it😂😂😂.

My lovely girlfriend is a little more adventurous than I am and decided to try an actual Cuban dish . It was the 1/2 roasted chicken with rice , black beans, and sweet plantains. I would recommend that meal to be your choice . It was extremely good and they give you so much food. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

After eating it was time to stroll the streets and see all of the wonderful sights South Beach has to offer . There is plenty of shopping, restaurants and of course the beach . One of my favorite places to visit anytime I’m in Miami is Wet Willies !!!! Now I’m not a big drinker or anything but every so often I like to kick back and enjoy an alcoholic beverage 🍹. What i like about this specific location is sitting outside at the top of the building overlooking the beach and the city’s busiest street. I’ve tried so many different drinks but I must admit the “Bob Marley” is probably my favorite .

Next up was the beach 🏖!!!! I love laying out on the beach listening to the ocean 🌊 and just clearing my mind for a few hours . Throw my sunglasses on and put my headphones in and I’m in heaven . Peace and tranquility at its finest ! One thing that I thought was pretty cool was seeing the workers setting up the stages on the beach for the 2020 Super Bowl held in Miami . I wouldn’t mind being back in South beach for that because it’s going to be LIT 🔥.

Last stop of the day was another hot spot in Miami , Fat Tuesday’s !!! Enjoyed some more frozen drinks and good food before catching our flight home . Until next time ✌🏾✈️✈️✈️🛩

What does Cabo have to offer ?

Cabo San Lucas in my opinion is one of the most relaxing destinations in the world 🌎 ! With crystal clear water and beautiful white sand on the beach 🏖 … grab your sunglasses and have you some quiet time on the beach .

Where to stay ? 🏨

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott and we loved the hotel. It was a bit small , but it was clean , updated , and the location was very close to the beach and other attractions . The continental breakfast the hotel served was also pretty good . That’s one of the key things I like to look for , it gives me an opportunity to plan our day out before we hit the road . If I travel back to Cabo , this is where I will stay for sure 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

When I travel to other countries I really like to hit the streets and experience the locals and their culture for myself . Residents of Cabo were extremely nice and fun to be around . Started off everyday just relaxing on the beach 🏝 getting hour massages for about $10! Those were some of the best massages that I’ve ever had , all while listening to the sounds of the ocean 🌊

After our massages we decided to go and check out the Arch of Cabo San Lucas . For those of you who don’t know what that is , don’t worry because i wasn’t aware either lol . But the Arch is a rock formation located at the end of the Baja Peninsula. Reminiscent of another world, the arch of Cabois where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean, but one of the surprising facts about Cabo San Lucas is that the arch was there before the sea. Around 30 million years, the shifting of tectonic plates and geographical processes began to split the world’s second longest peninsula from the rest of Mexico. At only around five million years old, the Sea of Cortez seems young compared to the Cabo San Lucas arch. However, it was during these years that wind, erosion, and waves carved out the arch we see today. The best part of going to see the Arch up close and personal was the glass bottom boat ride . You can ride those boats 🚣‍♀️ out to the beautiful arch while also being able to see the marine life underneath the boat .

Overall I loved Cabo !!!!! If you’re looking a for a nice trip to enjoy great weather and relax then this is the place for you . If you’re looking to “turn up” then i would recommend Cancun , which I will have a review up for a little later . Make sure you look out for my next post and thank you for reading . 🙌🏾🙏🏾

Sorry for the delay to all of my loyal readers , but this week has been very busy.

Sydney ,Australia offers so many things to do and see that we were pretty much on the go once we woke up in the mornings. As usual we like to navigate through cities using the Big Bus 🚌 Tours. These tours offer a convenient and price friendly way for tourists to travel through the city and see the best tourist attractions .

Of course the first place we wanted to see was the world famous Sydney Opera House. It is a multi-venue performing arts centre located on the Sydney Harbour. This unique architectural wonder draws over 10 million visitors per year.

After spending time at the Opera House we had a nice lunch on the Harbour. I wish that I would have started this blog years ago so that I could give you guys the names of the restaurants but I don’t have the best memory . However , I do remember giving kangaroo a try at the restaurant and it was not good in my opinion👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾. It was tough and gamey , but you can’t go to Australia and not give it a try ! The rest of the food was pretty good for the remainder of the trip!

Next up was the Sydney Zoo, normally I feel like once you’ve been to one zoo then you’ve seem them all. I felt this zoo may have some animals that we may not have on display here in the states. We had a lot of fun at the zoo, we were able to see koala’s and kangaroos🦘.

One exhibit the stood out was the alligator exhibit! These reptiles are so big and scary, I am glad that I do not live anywhere near their natural habitats.

Our next stop was the world-famous Bondi Beach . Even though the weather was a bit cold there were plenty of Australians out catching some sun rays and water waves.

Overall Sydney was an amazing experience!!! If you have a chance to visit I would highly recommend you doing so. Take a comfortable pair of walking shoes and a camera to catch all of the wonderful sights. Below, I’ll leave more photos of various things around the country 🇦🇺!!!!

In April of 2017 I had the opportunity to take a trip to Sydney, Australia. I will try my best to give all of my readers accurate details of that trip , but remember that it was a couple of years ago .

The flight over ✈️🛫🛬🛩….

At the time this was the absolute longest flight I had been on in my life ! I believe we flew from Indy to Los Angeles & Los Angeles to Sydney . Thank God we had a layover in between because there was no way I would be able to take a straight flight from Indy which is 20+ hours . The flight didn’t seem that long as I was able to secure a first class seat. International flights usually take off at night which I think is great so you can sleep for majority of the flight. First class also offers great food and drink selections as well as small bed that you can stretch out and relax in . Have you a couple drinks 🍸 , watch a movie and you will arrive before you know it … at least that’s what I thought 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I remember sleeping peacefully until we hit a rough spot of turbulence flying over the Pacific Ocean . Scared isn’t even the word to describe what I was in that moment lol . I was praying 🙏🏾 Lord please let us make it through this flight. I remember it lasting for a looooongggg time too. Once we got through that though the flight was absolutely great !! S/O to American Airlines , my favorite airline to fly .

DAY 1 : After such a long flight and a drastic time change of +16 hours we were ready to crash. We decided to catch a taxi and go right to our hotel and chill . One thing that we noticed was how clean the streets of Sydney were . After our nap we walked around a little bit to try and find some food we felt comfortable walking around . I like to walk around and see exactly how other around the world are living on a daily basis . Once we arrived back at the hotel it was pretty late , but our internal clocks were still on United States time and we couldn’t sleep . I could tell the Australians don’t really watch tv to much because their local channels were showing married with children . We watched that until we fell asleep, getting ready for the next days adventures.
